- Within the local limits of same city, town or village (Eg: From Bandra to Andheri in Mumbai)
- Outside the local limits of same city, town or village, but within the same state and same ROC (Eg: From Kota to Ajmer within the same state)

- Rent Agreement + Rent Receipt, of the new address, or
- Utility Bill of Premises & NOC From Owner of the new address

Yes, there is no compulsion for a registered office to be a commercial property.
Changing your business address does not require the alteration of MOA, as far as the proposed registered office is situated within the same State. If the office is shifted to other State, situation clause that refers to State must be altered.
ROC must be notified of the change in registered office by filing the appropriate documents within 30 days of a change of premises.
The change in the ROC has to be intimated to the registrar of companies by filing form INC-22.
All books of accounts must be kept at the registered office of the company. But if they are kept at any other place in India as decided by the Board of Directors, the company must send a notice in writing to the Registrar of that place, mentioning the full address of the place where the books of accounts are kept.
The Name Plate mentioning the address has to be modified, the Letterhead of the Company has to be changed, and the Statutory Register has to be shifted to the new registered office, Shop Act License & PAN card need to be altered.
